Leaving Wizard Mountain by SilEnigmaArts Leaving Wizard Mountain by SilEnigmaArts
Her father had taught her all he knew, had passed down his wisdom, his recipes and his magic to his one and only child Lisette.
His loving daughter was a good pupil, learning with a hunger that he remembered having in his own youth.
The castle would be hers forever to pass down to her family when the time came but until then, he would enjoy his daughter and
her company for every second, every minute of each day.

That time had now come, the day he had dreaded that he knew was inevitable.  The day she would tell him she wished to mingle in the
outside world.  He had to let her find her own way in the world and he knew she would be back but it was with heavy heart that he had hugged his dear sweet Lisette goodbye watching as she passed over the bridge and into the mountain.   He would see her one last time as she emerged from the cave in the mountain before she would wend her way around and out of sight and as she stepped through the cave with lantern in hand, the wind whipping around her, he cast a spell across the great ravine.  A spell that will be her constant companion, one that will keep her safe and comfort her in her dreams when she longs for home.
One that will show her a path of light in the dark and one that will lead her to the pathway home when its time to return.

Lisette steps through the cave, her thoughts and her heart racing with anticipation at what tomorrow will bring but as she turns to look at her father one last time, that anticipation is overtaken by a deep ache of sorrow.  Today she is leaving her childhood home, all that is safe, familiar and warm.
A life filled with joy and the unconditional love of her father.  A life she will miss terribly for today she is ..... "Leaving Wizard Mountain".

It's a really nice fantasy scene with a beautiful story. I can easily imagine her father would do his best to keep her safe. It reminds me that only this very year I moved out and left parents as well. So... I can even relate somehow to your piece :)

The first time moving out is exciting but also heart wrenching for all.  Once the excitement wears down...the loneliness sets in thinking about home and how good it was there lol.
Thank you for commenting Judy...Im glad you like it and I hope all is well with you

Yeah, that's true! I was to study this year but didn't like the course I enrolled on and dropped out of it. So instead I took a photography course... Plus I started to work. So there have been some really big changes in my life recently. I don't regret any decision :) I love this new city I moved to (Wroclaw), gives far more possibilities :)
And you're very welcome
