~...she had been wandering for hours. She had to get out of the house, so many thoughts churning through her mind, her mood and her spirits low. In the distance on this warm still evening, she heard the sound of her favourite song being played on a saxophone. She followed the sound hoping it wouldnt stop. She was drawn to a small lane and there in a doorway was a lone saxophonist, his eyes closed as he played. She stood there in silence listening, letting the mood of the music wash over her...~
This piece I dedicate to me.........call it therapy. No....no broken heart involved, I just love this song and play it when I have things on my mind. I know this piece is all a mish mash of everything and probably doesnt make sense at all....just indulge me please
Beautiful mood in this art, looks like a beautiful evening spoiled by the raspy sqwarks of a saxiphone. Who on earth is Chris Isaack??? Does he play the saxaphone?? Or is he a she? Some women I know are called Chris.
This work lacks flying things, but there is a cat which almost makes up for it. Replace the saxaphone with more romantic beauty (ie the VIOLIN!!!!) and you've got the perfect picture! The woman would be on her hands and knees, walking towards the door... drooling...! Instead she looks a bit afraid.
I love the mood of this work and a sax is so haunting in the right hands - who wouldn't be drawn to it?
Even before I read the comments of *Biomech44, I had the feeling that the scene was set in a Spanish town (I've seen scenery like that in movies)
Wonderful.
As to your music, I love "wicked Game" and a couple of other songs by Chris Isaak but unlike yourself or our mutual friend =ChrissieCool I cannot say whether or not he is "dreamy"
Awww thanks Lance. I agree.....the sax has such a haunting magnetism as you say, in the right hands. Even to me having looked at this piece many times while making it and still now afterwards as I look at it, i can imagine and hear the sounds of it echoing through the lanes and streets on this quiet night that would make anyone stop what they were doing to listen to it.
This work lacks flying things, but there is a cat which almost makes up for it.
Thanks heaps for the comment ....even if you dont know who Chris Isaack is lol
Great job you did here.
Welcome back from your holiday....I hope you had heaps of fun
