"DISPATCH TO CAR 317. DISPATCH TO 317...DAN YOU READ?"

"Affirmative Dispatch....317 reading you loud and clear."

"DAN CAN YOU SWING BY OLD WINSTON SMITH'S FARM. WE JUST GOT A MUMBLED, MOANING PHONE CALL FROM OLD WINSTON THEN THE LINE WENT DEAD. WE TRIED TO CALL HIS NUMBER BUT GOT NO RESPONSE. JUST RUN BY HIS PLACE AND SEE THAT THE OLD COOT IS OK AND NOT JUST ON THE MOONSHINE AGAIN WILL YOU?"

"Roger that Dispatch, I'm about two miles out, will head there right away. The ole man is probably drunk again. I swear...I pity his liver. Will report to you as soon as I've checked him out. 317 over n out".

"ROGER 317. DISPATCH OVER N OUT".

Holy psycho-killers, Batgirl! This is fantastic! What could be better than a dark and stormy night and ax murder??? I'll tell you what--the potential for MORE ax murdering and possibly some gunplay! :iconwoohooplz: Really great use of stocks and images, Karla

This would fit well as a publicity for a 80-ies horror movie :) You created a nice atmosphere, or something you can put in a certain period of time... A typical style from that time...

Do it in short steps. Just keep a notebook around within easy reach and write as you have time. I reckon once you actually make a start on it you will find it fun and will find yourself adding to it more often than you realise. No time like the present. Just at least start it.

Lol if I were a machine I would be putting out more than one piece a week AND I would be doing much better work than this. I wonder...can I be programmed to be faster or better ? Where do I sign up ?
Thanks as always for your great feedback Dan...glad you like the piece

haha well I think a piece a week is a very good ratio, it leaves you a few days to think about the concept, create the story and work the actual image, so no need to be reprogrammed. ;)

OOOO, there's so much I could say...art definitely imitating life here.

I adore the lighting Milady, and the perspective that you've used in the work. The textures of the sky and the fields contrast beautifully but work so very well at the same time. The colour scheme is a standout - damn fine indeed. And I really love the way the figure holding the axe is represented in a minimalistic way, it adds a little bit of that feel of lurking menace.

I may have to come back and visit the scene of the crime again... ;-) Lovely work dear lady!

First let me say I absolutely love the sky and the fire on the house, absolutely wonderful choices and use of the images. As one who still has some trouble using fire I am greatly impressed by your blending, it looks very realistic. Once again you have achieved great depth and realism at the smallest detail and drawn us into a scene of mystery and intrigue. You have left us to unravel the mystery and fill in the details of the scene portrayed here and of course my mind is off and running. Fantastic work my friend as always and I do love the lighting of the scene it works to perfection to add to the mood.

p.s. sorry for being so tardy, my internet has been mostly down for a couple of days. I saw this yesterday but then my connection went down while I was trying to comment.
p.p.s. I made something for you and I will be hopefully putting it up very soon, if my connection holds up that is. I might give you a preview if everything goes well.

Well once again I planted a seed to be nurtured by the observers imagination. Go wild lol.
Overall Im not too thrilled with the outcome of this piece for various reasons but I AM very happy with the fire element in it. Man...so many layers I lost count but it came out well. Thank you again for your lovely feedback...happy you enjoy yet another of my works
Never apologise for anything Chris. Life is what it is and there are things in life that either play precedence or hinder us in things we might like to do. Having the internet down nowdays is like having no electricity....its a major utility lol ...cant live without it

Now......I think its about time that we saw some new work from you my friend.....its loonnnnnnnnng overdue methinks. Soooo Im looking forward to your posting when and as time and internet connection permits.
